Conducted field works revealed that Grodziec Slaski ring road blocked or at least radically limited to amphibians possibility of the access to the water bodies from areas which are situated north from completed road. Number of passages designed for animals is insufficient in the case of amphibians. Despite the fact that flyovers lenght is about 550 m on the stretch of about 5 km, the distance between them come to about 350 to more than 1000 m, so the possibility that amphibians find their way to passages under flyovers is small. According to experience of western countries, pasages for amphibians should be set every 50 m. That option was not mentioned by the authors of the environmental papers (EKOSYSTEM SLASK) – despite the fact that environmental impact assessment demonstrate the occurence of amphibians in the investition area, aspect of that animals migration and necessity of the protection of they migration patterns was passed over. It was stated that constructed flyovers will provide safety to all migrating animals.
